Mining Artefacts

GO MINING MAD! AND JOIN OLDHAM’S INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE HUNT…

If you have mining heritage then Groundwork Oldham and Rochdale need your help. The Jubilee Heritage team are looking for people to send pictures of anything they have that is related to mining in Oldham or Manchester and the North West’s industrial age. Pick up your camera and send a picture of what you have to lili.briggs@groundwork.org.uk. This could be anything from an old Davy lamp, to pictures of relatives who used to work in the mines, or uniforms, tools, hats or boots….even miners soap dishes and snap tins. Ask your Aunties and Uncles, Nans and Grandads for their mining related stories and share them with us at Groundwork before the 20th of February. We can’t wait to find out what’s out there!
